Java requires your permission before saving files on your computer. Permission is granted by saving a file on your computer that authorizes us to perform certain tasks. Geode needs permission to do the following:

• Save data on your machine to speed up subsequent visits to Geode.
• Save attribute information.
• Save map as a .gif or .jpg image.
• Connect to multiple servers.

(note: this only applies to the JAVA version of this site.)

Instructions for installing permissions files

1) Click here to download Permission Files. When prompted, select "Save this program to disk", and save the file to your desktop.
2) After the download, for Internet Explorer, click "Open";  for Navigator or Netscape 6, double click on the "Permissioninstall.exe" icon on your desktop.
3) After the installation is completed, close and restart the browser.
