Use the About page to find out more information about GEODE.
It lists the latest GEODE News item and provides a link to subscribe to
GEODE News so that it will be sent to you by email. If you have
tried to follow the directions and you still have difficulty
subscribing, look on the FAQ page to see if anyone else has had the same
problem. If the FAQ page is no help, feel free to contact us.
Explore
Use the Explore page to launch the GEODE applet. From the
Explore page you can choose which map you would like GEODE to start up
with. To do this you can do one of three things. You can
click on one of the white areas on the map, select a map from the
dropdown menu, or read a more detailed map description. To start
GEODE from a detailed map description, click on the image of the
map. REMEMBER: You should go through the setup page to make
sure the presence of Java Runtime Environment Plug-In and Permission
Files on your machine before accessing the applet. If you have a 
on the setup page, click on the sign
and it will take you to the Setup Wizard.
Setup
Use this page to confirm that your machine fulfills basic
requirement to successfully run GEODE. Click on the
to follow the instruction on how to fulfilled any requirement that your
machine fails.

the Applet
The applet has its own help pages. You can access them by
going to the Help menu in the applet or clicking on the title of this
paragraph.
